Interdependence vs. Dependence or independence

Interdependence is being and acting while taking into account my needs and at the same time caring about others' needs instead of pleasing or ignoring others.

Dependence is being guided by what others think or ask to do, trying to please others without regard for what I want.

Independence is ignoring others and our coexistence, wishing to deal with everything on my own and not acknowledge my need for support.

As with other key differentiations, there is nothing wrong with dependence or independence, they are both thought patterns that can arise from experience, in an attempt to meet needs. We just see them generally not working as well as interdependence.
