Vision

To facilitate a network of Instant Messaging that contributes to:

• NVC people around the world meeting and connecting.
• A shared place to learn and develop NVC skills.
• Regional/interest specific communities.
• A safe place to look for and offer support.

The mechanics

Current technology offers ways to create chatrooms for every kind of subject, we start with these chat(should it be conversion? meeting? conference? something else?) rooms:

• By topics:
  • NVC Panting.
  • NVC Practice.
  • NVC Theory discussion.
  • NVC Support give&get.
  • NVC Certified trainers.
  • NVC Non certified trainers.
  • NVC Certification candidates.
  • NVC Business.
  • NVC Education.

• By Region/Country/State.

We are happy to support anyone who like to have an additional chatroom

Everybody has different messengers.

There will be one username which will be registered in all IM networks. for instance nvcIMadmin.

So a user which will join will add nvcIMadmin to his contact list in his preferred messenger.

nvcIMadmin will create a text chat room and invite all people interested in that chat room. this will be done per messenger or a few messengers bridged.

ideal world vs. reality

In the ideal world for the network:

• Any member would use his preferred IM which will be bridged to any other IM.
• Shared group - when adding a new member to the group the group is updated for all members.
• Every IM would have a group of switchable database of nvcIM network members.
• Text chats/voice chats would have unlimited number of people which can use any IM.

In reality:

• Some IM are bridged
  • Yahoo-Live messenger (MSN)
  • ICQ-AOL
  • TODO: check if multiprotocol instant messaging applications can bridge network for group chats.
    • Trillian
      • there is group chat but you can't select a few people and add them to the chat
• Shared group
  • only with skype (starting from 2.5)
• Search able group members
  • only with skype by changing the username and then searching within it.
• Text/voice chats
  • Skype 100 people
  • to fill in others

The mechanics of approaching and registering people

    • I belive Web form is better
      • No need for the user to send back email - recive questions and send the answers.
