Translation procedure

General

  1. A text in a Source language is translated by a Target-language translator who is very familiar with NVC language.
  2. The Target text is reviewed by a Source-language translator who is very familiar with NVC language. This Source-language translator points out to the Target-language translator any translation that to her/him appears erroneous and makes change proposals.
  3. The Target-language translator incorporates or decides not to incorporate the suggestions of the Source-language translator and produces a Revision.
  4. The Revision is sent to a Target-language expert who is very familiar with NVC language and does not need to have any knowledge of the Source language. She/he checks the text for readability and NVC language and makes change proposals to the Target-language translator.
  5. The Target-language translator produces a Final Draft for publication.

  1. A text in English is translated by a French-speaking translator who is very familiar with NVC language.
  2. The French is reviewed by an English-speaking translator who is very familiar with NVC language. This English-speaking translator points out to the French-speaking translator any translation that to her/him appears erroneous and makes change proposals.
  3. The French-speaking translator incorporates or decides not to incorporate the suggestions of the English translator and produces a Revision.
  4. The Revision is sent to a French-speaking expert who is very familiar with NVC language and does not need to have any knowledge of the Source language. She/he checks the text for readability and NVC language and makes change proposals to the French-speaking translator.
  5. The French-speaking translator produces a Final Draft for publication.
